    Hi Janet Fitch,
I’m not sure that you’ll read this, but my name’s Brandy. I’m seventeen and I’ve read White Oleander at least four times in the last two years. Throughout high school it’s been a bible to me. It’s two in the morning and i want you to know that i spend a lot of time at two in the morning reading your interviews and your poetry. I don’t know another author like you. Everything you write makes me feel as though I better understand myself and the world around me. It makes the ugly, ordinary things seem beautiful. You are a fantastic writer. I feel like I have more to say to you but I can’t think of it. You’re really special and your words mean a lot to me.

I also love this book! Janet is an amazing writer, indeed! You may also like Beverly Donofrio. She is another author who you may like as well. Her novel “Riding in Cars with Boys” was also made into a movie, but we know the movie never is as good as the book!
